Lord Molecule proposes that the new Mexican satellite be called "Sat-AMLO"
Espacio Zalamero.- The journalist known as “Lord Molécula” proposed that the new Mexican satellite be called “Sat-AMLO,” and maybe with a show of hands it could be organized.
“Considering the replacement of the Bicentennial satellite due to the end of its useful life, and with the launch schedule for the new satellite… my question is for you: given that former President Andrés Manuel López Obrador doesn't want a single statue, a street, or an avenue, but never spoke about outer space…” the journalist explained to President Claudia Sheinbaum during the morning press conference.

Seeing the source of the concern, the president chuckled and retorted: "I don't think he'd be very happy..." referring to the possibility of the technological orbital device being named after its predecessor.
Lord Molecule always so “witty”“With respect, I propose that you name the satellite 'Sat-AMLO' …” Molécula added, confirming that space branding isn't their thing.
The idea has sparked all kinds of comments on social media, from those who support the initiative (although they suggest another, more thoughtful, name) to those who criticize the reporter, who for some reason always manages to pose these kinds of questions with the tone of a child at a fair.

At the time of writing, it was revealed that other names had already been proposed for the satellite, such as "Cuatetransmisor de la Transformación" (Transformation Cuatetransmitter) , "Andronico I" (Andronicus I) or "Obraplanet" (Obraplanet), but all of them were pending an official decision... or for Elon Musk to come along and give it an English name.
